<p>This hormone is believed to play a role in memory and learning. </p>
<p>Taking a dose of cortisol has been seen to calm <a href="http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/news/20110328/cortisol-may-help-reduce-some-phobias">fears and anxiety</a>.</p>
